Sexual harassment in the workplace has attracted renewed attention in recent years with movements such as #MeToo and a seeming increase in professionals feeling empowered to speak up.
In this report, through a survey of and sobering testimonies from hospital doctors, HCSA shows that much remains to be done to ensure doctors are safe from sexual harassment in the course of their employment.
It offers 12 practical steps to bring the change that doctors need.
Over 70% respondents to HCSA's survey said they had witnessed or experienced sexual harassment in the workplace. The figure was as high as 78.4% for women doctors. It's time for action, not words.
