HCSA launches member consultation on hospital doctors’ pay

HCSA has today launched a consultation of all members in England to seek a mandate to take forward its campaign on hospital doctors’ pay.

It will seek views from relevant member groups on issues including pay restoration for Junior Doctors.

In a message to HCSA members, President Dr Naru Narayanan said: “Many of us have reached tipping point not just on pay but on the other factors which dictate our working lives.

“Something has to give, and HCSA does not believe that it is beneficial to the NHS or our patients to lose more hospital doctors.

“You, as HCSA members, will dictate our next steps. I therefore appeal to all members to respond to the consultation.”

The consultation will be open until 5th July. The results will be considered by the HCSA Executive on 6th July.
